Welcome to the year long devotional I wish I'd had when I first started on my journey. For years I've been insatiable in my searching, learning and experiencing of this medicine. I would take weekend trainings, or even month-long intensives in all the healing arts and mystical ways, only to feel more confused and less embodied each time.

Early on in my journey I could feel energy running through my fingers but no-one in my inner circle, which included long time yoga teachers and spiritualists, could relate to what I expressed.  Or their way of describing energy did not resonate as truth for me. I felt alone and like there must be either something  wrong with me or no-one spoke the same language as me.

So I waited patiently and asked for guides on my path until eventually I found other women, healers and medicine women, who could look me in the eyes, hold steady and see me, all of me. They spoke the same language I did and created a safe environment for me to speak about, question, shed, heal, grow and  practice my medicine. My medicine, my way.

It took me a year to move through each energy centre and embody the medicine of each, but by the end of that year I felt whole, I could feel and describe what was happening. I started to embody my medicine more and more. My confidence grew and before I knew it my higher self didn't look so far off in the future, I was her. The more I nurtured myself in these ways the more healing pathways I had to offer others. I became a wayshower not because anyone certified me or cast a magic spell. But because I lived the journey. I am still living the journey.

It took me years to get here, to feel at home enough in my own body with this medicine that I could map out a way to share it with you.  The last couple years my cup has been so full it runneth over and I can offer my hand to guide and hold space for others on their journey.

Here's what I know as truth; we are all Healers.

​

I believe every healer, body worker, akashic record reader, reiki practitioner, medium, intuitive or any other form of energy medicine is seeing and experiencing the same thing but we each use different energetic tools.  We have put our own unique vocabulary around what is happening. That vocabulary  speaks to certain people. But we are all doing the same thing. Healing by taping into the energetic body, source, oneness, a stream of unconditional love.

Healers know their medicine, not academically but in their bones. They have used it to heal and now embody it as their own particular language. They've been guided by other healers back to themselves and their inate ability to heal. They can now take such incredible care of themselves, they are self sourced. Not because they do life by themselves but because they know how to reach inside and use their own medicine. They can hear what their needs and wants are and they can see how to feed them. They are in community in ways that support themselves and their healing. As they become rooted and satiated, like a mother tree, they are able to offer their medicine back to that community in greater and greater ways.

If you are here, in my world, it's because you are hearing the call and longing for the wisdom and truths of healers and medicine women too. Healing others isn't about you having a super power that only you can access and so others flock to you. Being a healer is about having done your own work to open up the pathways of healing so you can guide others to do the same. You are the pathway for others to access their own healing abilities.  

The world today may still have hints of skepticism about energy medicine but it's opened up enough that there is now a curiosity and welcoming of the mysteries long forgotten. The world needs wisdom keepers like you to guide them, to show them it's nothing to be afraid of, that they too are healers in their own unique way.
